Support Families in Need

Each year the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation provides significant resources to fulfill our mission of serving families who are preparing for or caring for a child with a congenital heart defect (CHD). Our team understands first-hand many of the challenges caregivers face while caring for a child in the hospital and beyond. Whether you need financial assistance, help locating resources and support groups or simply prayer, we are here for you.

Notice: The ERHF offices will be closed Nov. 22-26th. We will respond to all inquiries when we return to the office. Happy Thanksgiving!

The ERHF® offers financial assistance ranging from gas cards and hospital meal tickets to hotel accommodations and beyond, depending on your need. We understand each family has unique needs, so please take the time to fill out the form below to let us know a little more about you and your situation. Someone with the ERHF will get back with you within two business days. If this is an emergency situation and you are in immediate financial need, please call us at 864-365-6188.

Resources and Support Groups

Below you will find a list of resources in South Carolina and beyond that will equip and empower you to build community in the “heart world” and learn more about CHDs.

Caring for yourself

While caring for a loved one, it is vital that you are also mindful of your spiritual, physical and emotional health. We encourage you to use the tips below:

  • Eat healthy meals and get proper sleep and exercise. While this may sound obvious, when caring for others, it can be easy to neglect our own physical needs. Proper nutrition, sleep and exercise can help provide the energy needed to care for your child.

  • Build a healthy community of support around you. This may include family, friends and neighbors.

  • Seek help from your medical doctor if you are experiencing high levels of anxiety or depression.

  • We encourage you to spend time daily in prayer and in the Bible. Additionally, seek support from your pastor and church community. Please remember that God loves you and has not forgotten about you.
