Nathan grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee.  He attended Furman University, where he met Laura.  After graduating from Furman, Nathan and Laura married and moved to South Bend, Indiana where Nathan would attend law school at Notre Dame.  After law school, Nathan and Laura realized they loved the Upstate of South Carolina and moved back to the area.  They now have two wild boys:  Peter and James.  In 2023, their son Peter had a successful heart surgery at MUSC to correct a Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection.  Nathan and Laura desire to share God’s love by serving families through the open arms of the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation.
