Honoring Bennett’s Journey. Supporting Heart Families.

One year ago, our son, Bennett, underwent life-saving open-heart surgery after being born with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a congenital heart defect. As we approach the one-year anniversary of his surgery, we are honoring his incredible journey through Wear Red for Bennett at Topgolf—a celebration of his strength, resilience, and how far he has come, while giving back to families walking a similar path.

Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect, affecting 1 in every 100 babies born. Behind that statistic are families facing fear, uncertainty, lengthy hospital stays, and the emotional, physical, and financial challenges that often accompany a CHD diagnosis.

Throughout Bennett’s NICU stay, open-heart surgery, and recovery, the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation reminded us that we were never alone. Through encouragement, thoughtful acts of kindness, and unwavering support, they brought comfort and hope to our family during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. Their compassion made a lasting impact on our family, and it is something we will never forget.

We invite you to join us for Wear Red for Bennett at Topgolf on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:00–11:00AM at Topgolf in Greenville. 100% of proceeds from this event will go directly to the Emerson Rose Heart Foundation to help provide hope, encouragement, and support to families affected by congenital heart defects.
